    Christina Whitney is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that works with people who suffer from trauma, relationship issues and adoption issues. Christina graduated from Brandman University in 2013.

    Christina has been trained as a sex informed therapist, sex coach and finishing certification for sex therapy. She has also been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Training for adoption competency (TAC) through C.A.S.E.

    Christina is a wife to a first responder, a mother to 6 children, one of which is adopted. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, dancing, traveling and studying new things.

    Christina Bennett-Horne is a License, MarriChe and Family Therapist Christina received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Psychology from Park University and Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology through National University.

    As a United States Army Veteran, she knows the struggle and challenges that life can bring. She has lived her life in service to others and has worked with a broad array of populations and cultures, initially for the military, then for Shasta County Health and Human Services.

    Haley is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who obtained her master’s degree at Simpson University. Haley specializes in maternal and child mental health and has competencies in many areas, including birth empowerment and healing (including pregnancy loss at any stage), child development, autism spectrum disorder, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, bonding and attachment, and more. Haley’s energy and therapeutic approach is intuitive, empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and open. Haley works with individuals in the deepest layers of oneself to release feelings, rise into one’s most authentic self, and to love oneself wholly, as fully feeling individuals. Haley also provides Art Therapy.

    Felicia is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, her training and education has given her an understanding of how to provide psychoeducation, psychotherapy as well as trauma-informed systemic approaches to helping others make positive changes in their lives for a better future. Felicia’s goal is to help clients gain the tools they need to flourish.  She uses CBT and DBT as her primary psychotherapy tools, as well as a systemic approach that involves the use of Genograms so that a family or the patient can gain a deeper understanding of the emotional processes and patterns that appear within a family. Increasing the client's voice and assisting them with interpersonal problem solving as well as emotional regulation to function normally in everyday life.

    Vera Dunlap is an associate marriage and family therapist (AMFT125765) and a practicing clinical counselor associate (APCC9637). Vera received her master’s degree in psychology at National University with a concentration in clinical counseling and marriage/family therapy. She also has two associates degrees in human development and psychology as well as a bachelor's degree in psychology from Simpson University. Vera has experience in forensic psychotherapy, child/family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, solution focused brief therapy, play therapy, emotions focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. She is passionate about destigmatizing society's outlook of mental health treatment, creating a safe place for a person to be their authentic self.

    Natacha Chaney is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). She has received her master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from National University and has earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Grand Canyon University. Natacha has experience working with children, at-risk youth, and adults. She specializes working with individuals, couples, at risk youth, depression, trauma, and anxiety. Natacha is trained in first level Gottman Couples therapy and utilizes a lot of Cognitive behavior therapy, but also uses other modalities depending on the person’s needs.

  • Lucy Herrera

    Lucy Herrera is an Associate Clinical Social Worker who obtained both her bachelors and masters degrees at Cal Poly Humboldt. Lucy has experience working with both adults and children, including at risk youth, those involved in Child Protective Services, and who are adopted. Lucy’s practice is based on a relational approach and meeting clients where they are at. Lucy believes that every client is different and therefore benefits from different therapeutic interventions that fit their individual needs. Lucy is trained in child/family therapy, play therapy, Infra-Low neurofeedback, parts work, and strength based therapy. Lucy’s goal with clients is to provide a safe space for individuals to achieve what they are wanting in their lives.

  • Shannon Jimenez

    Shannon Jimenez is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #15017 who obtained her Master’s Degree in Mindfulness based Transpersonal Counseling. She utilizes an Integrative/Transpersonal approach during therapy that allows her to creatively and collaboratively meet her client’s needs. Shannon specializes in trauma informed care, mindfulness, somatic(body) awareness, strength-based and experiential modalities. The populations she enjoys working with are individuals, teens, young adults and women who want to explore themes of anxiety, depression, grief & loss, life’s transitions, past traumas, identity, low self-esteem or spirituality. With compassion, authenticity, and humility, Shannon provide’s a non-judgmental space for client’s to freely express themselves and offers herself as a guide to create deeper connection to oneself and new ways of being in life. She is available for in-person or Telehealth sessions.

  • Chantry Dorrell, ASW

    Chantry (rhymes with pantry) is an associate clinical social worker (ASW #93204) working under the supervision of Christina Whitney, LMFT #111050. She brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to her practice. Chantry earned her Masters degree in social work from Chico State University in 2017. She enjoys working with clients at all ages and stages of life, with particular areas of interest including identity exploration, ADHD and autism, medical trauma, chronic illness, end of life counseling, infertility, birth trauma, and understanding and breaking generational cycles of trauma.

    In her therapeutic practice, Chantry believes in the power of collaboration and self-discovery. She approaches each client with genuine compassion, authenticity, and a curiosity about their unique life experiences. She believes that no person is formed in a vacuum, but is the result of the context of their entire lived experience. She enjoys working with clients to gain a deeper understanding of this context to help them make sense of who they are, why they do the things that they do, and help navigate the path towards their desired futures. She is particularly adept at working with clients who may feel disconnected from others or struggle to understand their place in the world.

  • Korey Barboza, M.A., AMFT

    Korey is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #122343) who brings a genuine passion for helping individuals heal and bring insight to their full potential. Since graduating from Simpson University in 2020, she has continuously honed her skills to better serve her clients, with a particular focus on those who identify as neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, or Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs).

    Her therapeutic approach draws on modalities like EMDR, Brainspotting, DBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These techniques help clients process past experiences, manage emotions, and cultivate inner strength.

    Korey's personal journey as a stepparent to four adopted children with special needs has instilled in her a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by many families. She fosters a safe and supportive environment, valuing open-mindedness, spirituality, and authenticity. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and receive the tools they need to thrive.

    Korey's expertise extends to individuals dealing with trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, and dissociative disorders. She welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds, including those leading alternative lifestyles, exploring unique spiritual paths, and facing cultural challenges.

    Her therapeutic toolbox includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting, both powerful modalities for healing. Additionally, she is currently undergoing training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) to further enhance her skills.

  • Amanda Boles, AMFT

    Description gI have a passion for partnering with struggling people. Through my own life experiences, and
    journey I have found my drive to pursue a helping, healing profession. I have followed that passion by
    completing a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. During my time in school I have also volunteered with
    organizations that support at-risk youth through Equine Assisted Learning programs. My experience, under
    supervision as an AMFT, has been largely with adolescent and teenage clients, although I have worked with
    most age groups and couples. I continue looking forward with great excitement to what I can do within our
    community by combining my education in Counseling Psychology and my love for people, to affect significant
